How to seal the coupling? This question is constantly asked by operators and builders of communication lines. Often the choice is made in favor of cheap options from mastic and rubber. Unfortunately, this choice is wrong and, as a result, turns out to be expensive due to additional costs for repairs, and even the purchase of new couplings due to the unsuitability of the old ones for repair.
But the choice in favor of a slightly more expensive gel, widely used in Tyco Electronics Raychem products (optical and copper couplings and boxes), is never to be regretted.
