Several leading manufacturers of measuring equipment produce universal modular measuring platforms, the capabilities of which are increased by installing replaceable modules. As a rule, for each measuring platform, several dozen modules are produced for measuring various parameters of fiber-optic networks, analyzing communication protocols (Transport and Datacom, abbreviated as T&D) and testing access networks (xDSL, xPON / FTTx, Ethernet).
